Dr. Gregory Purnell is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Mountainstate Orthopedic Associates in Morgantown, specializing in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery. With over a decade of experience in Pittsburgh—including serving as a team physician for the Pittsburgh Pirates—Dr. Purnell focuses on complex knee and shoulder disorders, patellofemoral issues, and advanced cartilage restoration. A graduate of Drexel University College of Medicine, he completed his residency at Allegheny General Hospital and a fellowship at Orthopaedic Research of Virginia.
